I think the two types of media that I want to use in my essay are highlighting a few of the main ideas that I am saying by restating them in bold and pictures. I am going to use a picture from a run that I have been on that was a beautiful experience for me at the time. Another picture that I will embed is a either a picture of metals from running or race bibs or both because both of these are objects of accomplishment that runners experience that everyone in the community would call beautiful and are symbols of memories from runs. Another picture I may include is a picture of the cross country team which will show the friendship aspect that I talk about in my essay. When I insert these pieces of media in the essay, I will need to make sure to add commentary about them and continually tie them to my thesis so that they add to the essay instead of just taking up space in the essay. These images will help me communicate my idea because the reader will not be left to visualize the different ideas that I am discussing, and they will instead be able to see exactly what I am talking about and my argument will grow from this. In the work cited section, I will use my name as the photographer because they are all pictures that I took and will use the date that I took them. After citing them, I will make sure each is in alphabetical order on the work cited page and double check that they are cited correctly with different online materials such as Purdue Owl.
